Open Science Challenge · Season 1
Help find the next twisted-2D superconductor — from your own laptop.
| Grand — highest verified tendency | $1,500 |
| Heavy — best verified heavy material | $1,000 |
| Light — best verified light material | $500 |
The instrument is a single pure-Python script — no install, no GPU, works the same on Windows, Linux and macOS. Its default reproduces the leaderboard baseline; replace one function with your own method to compete.
Click "Sign in with Hugging Face" at the top-right of this page. This verifies your identity so entries cannot be posted under someone else's handle.
huggingface-cli download FINAL-Bench/OSC-Superconductor \ instrument/osc_instrument.py instrument/pair_baseline.py \ --repo-type dataset --local-dir osc cd osc/instrument # Windows / Linux / macOS — pure Python, nothing to install
python osc_instrument.py --material_id OSC-00129 --author YOUR_NAME # reads the material's (t, U, N(E_F)); prints a score on the leaderboard's scale # -> submission.json (to compete: edit estimate_pairing() with your own method)
On this page, open the material in the Active Challenge tab, enter your score in "Submit your estimate", and click Submit (you must be signed in). Advanced: open a PR adding submission.json under submissions/ in the dataset repo.
